Our experience in Park and Ride sites

Ascendia is at the forefront of transforming transportation solutions, as exemplified by our involvement in the expansion of an existing Park and Ride site. Our feasibility studies indicate a potential addition of approximately 990 off-road car parking spaces to the site, a testament to our commitment to enhancing infrastructure to meet growing demands.

The scope of our involvement in this project is expansive. Our teams conducted meticulous swept path analyses, ensuring optimal configurations for both car and bus parking. We delved into a comprehensive review and development of improvements to the existing roundabout at the entrance to the site, focusing on enhancing traffic flow and safety.

To promote sustainable and healthy transportation alternatives, Ascendia prioritized the creation of enhanced cycling and walking connections into the site from the B1172. Our approach goes beyond mere expansion; it envisions an integrated and accessible transport hub that caters to a diverse range of commuters.

The project’s complexity also involves intricate grading of the parking and pond site, ensuring effective drainage through cataract systems. Additionally, our expertise extends to aligning entry and exit levels with Highway England proposals, emphasizing a seamless connection with the broader transportation network.

Ascendia’s involvement in this scheme exemplifies our holistic approach to transportation projects. From feasibility studies to detailed design and implementation, we are dedicated to creating innovative solutions that not only meet the immediate needs of commuters but also contribute to the overall sustainability and efficiency of the transportation infrastructure.
